About

HellaInfo is a neat little PHP script that creates plain text status reports from the excellent NZB based usenet client HellaNZB.

The script features the following:

  • Works on any platform that supports PHP
  • Fast with a low resource consumption
  • Allows for checking the status of HellaNZB in a single glance, no need to check on the daemon or visit a web interface
  • Works for both local and remote HellaNZB installs
  • Self contained, no external dependencies beyond a PHP install more recent than version 4.30 with the PHP CLI
  • Full statistics on HellaNZB and its queue
  • Estimated download times for all queue items
  • Customisable display

Samurize is a program that lets you display customised information on your desktop from sources ranging from Windows itself to scripts such as HellaInfo. Use a Console Program meter to display HellaInfo’s output and I recommend a fixed width font such as Terminal.
