Nuclear fusion has the potential to solve the world’s energy crisis with carbon-neutral technology by harnessing the process that drives the Sun. So far, decades of research have generated little more than hype.

HellaWorld 1.7 is now available for immediate download. This release contains a few bug fixes and a few new features, see the changelog for more information.
This release is revision 102 in the Subversion repository.
I’ve been attending the Multiplay i-series for years now, both as a punter and as staff. I’ve seen it go from strength to strength but it looks like i31 will be in a different league entirely. They’ve dedicated an entire floor to exhibitor stands, making it a true festival of gaming. Of course there’s the usual huge BYOC LAN and social activities, but this addition brings back a proper computer expo to the UK, something we’ve lacked since the death of ECTS.
HelloHella has now been renamed to HellaWorld, coinciding with the release of version 1.6 which includes many new features and bug fixes. This release is revision 80 in the SVN repository.
When I wrote HelloHella I was unaware of a Python web interface for HellaNZB called HellaHella. I decided to rename mine as the names were too similar, and I didn’t want to be accused of name plagiarism.
I recommend everyone update immediately.
XiTi Monitor has released its latest report (FR) on web browsers utilization in Europe and the rest of the world according to a survey during the first week of July. All European countries saw an increase in Firefox participation with Hungary showing the most dramatic increase from 27.2%, in the latest March 2007 survey, to 39.7%.

Just found this blog entry on digg, linking to a series of 360 degree shots of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland. Some truly spectacular shots. I’d love to be there when that baby fires up.
