Mind Blowing Graffiti
14/05/2008Just seen this awesome graffiti animation. It must have taken weeks to paint and film, and I’m surprised it didn’t get the guy put away.
The video is very freaky but is truly excellently executed.

It’s well known that Aussies love their beer, but it never really sunk in before until I read this BBC News story about an Australian man who was pulled over, only for the police to find a case of beer strapped in with a seatbelt and a 5 year old child sitting on the floor of the car.
The mind boggles sometimes.
I know I’m a few days late with this, but it would seem Yahtzee doesn’t appreciate the world of hatemail he recieved over this review of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
He’s hit back with this run down of the worst mail he’s recieved, ridiculing and correcting where neccessary.
Good stuff.
Snickers bars, after two decades under that name, are being returned to their original and far superior name of Marathon, The Telegraph is reporting.

It took them long enough to realise no one liked the name Snickers.
How it is possible to find someone guilty of first degree murder, when there is no body / evidence that the "victim" in question is dead?
I couldn’t say whether he did it or not, but it seems that the whole thing has been based on circumstance.
Some people really just don’t think things through. This man in the blue t-shirt is just arriving back at his car after leaving it abandoned like that on the wrong side of the road and on a zebra crossing, while he popped into the off-licence to buy some milk. Very weird, the traffic was backed up a fair way because of it and a few people had got out of their cars to see what was going on.
Alas from our vantage point I couldn’t hear what they said to him when he got back, but I would assume it was something along the lines of, “What the bloody hell do you think you’re doing?”
The challenge is simple, with one continuous line and without stopping, cross each line with an X in it only once, without crossing a line already drawn.
I’ve been playing around with this on and off and it’s been driving me crazy. It must be possible but I always seem to end up with one line I can’t get to. Try it for yourself.

Twice now we have had poker evenings. I’d never really seen the attraction of the game itself before, but these evenings have been great fun! We’re only playing for a small buy in of £5, and I’ve not won anything back yet. But it’s cheaper than a night out on the town, and is far more fun.
Since the list of Wordpress plugins in use on this site is ever growing, I thought I’d put up a little post of what I’m using.

First comes the built in Akismet plugin. This is a great anti-spam plugin that doesn’t require any action on the part of the user. There are no annoying CAPTCHA images to try and decipher and no registration required. It works by sending a comment off to the Akismet web service, which returns a yes or no as to whether it considers the comment spam or not.
Next is a single line plugin that disables the new Wordpress Widget system, the reason I have this is because the site uses the excellent K2 theme, which uses a rival system for the sidebar.
After that I use the Page Links To plugin, which lets Wordpress pages become redirects to non wordpress pages. I use this for some of the links at the top, such as the Gallery and the Code Dump.
Next comes the Share This plugin, which adds the little share this icon at the end of each post, letting you, my dear readers, post articles to various news networking sites such as Digg.
Following that I have a plugin called SyntHihol which adds syntax highlighting for various programming languages using the GeSHi class for PHP.
Next is a neat little plugin called XSD-Snapr. This is the plugin that adds a little popup to external links, showing a thumbnail of the site the link points to.
Lastly comes the excellent ZenPress plugin. This integrates Wordpress with ZenPhoto, which is the software that my gallery uses. It lets me seamlessly link images from my gallery into blog posts and pages.
